Brodner should be reelected

Please join me on Monday, March 3, in voting to re-elect Bonnie Brodner to the Lexington School Committee. She has worked hard to fulfill the promises she made to us in seeking her first term. She has represented us well, sought our input, not hesitated to ask the difficult questions and helped make important decisions and changes that impact our schools and the quality of the environment within which our children are taught and learn.

Anyone that knows Bonnie is likely to have heard her say that the primary goal of the school committee is to enhance student learning. I have worked with Bonnie over the years on a variety of issues. It is clear to me that her sensitivity to diversity in every area that impacts one’s educational experiences as well as her demonstrated drive to consider and weigh the input of all her constituencies, will continue to make her an important contributor to the challenges ahead as our schools face the future.

The school committee will be making tough decisions in the areas of enrollment and over-crowding in our schools and classrooms. Having been a member of the school committee for 3 years, Bonnie knows the numbers, is sensitive to the issues and committed to finding solutions. Having Bonnie on the school committee will mean we have someone there who is up to speed.

It is a great pleasure to add my voice in support of Bonnie for re-election to the Lexington School Committee.
