Incumbent has invaluable presence

Bonnie Brodner has been an invaluable addition to the school committee for the last three years, and I wholeheartedly support her reelection in March. Bonnie works hard to ensure that all students in the district have the educational opportunities they deserve. She has a keen sense of what is important to students and parents alike - safe, secure schools, accessible teachers and staff, appropriate levels of support for all students, and extracurricular opportunities. Bonnie was a key player in hiring our new Director of Special Education, Ellen Sugita, and has championed the proposed hiring of a post-secondary Transition Coordinator in the next year. Bonnie’s forward-thinking approach to relevant transition services for students in special education is an important strategy for insuring that our K-12 investment in these students leads to fulfilling, productive adult lives. Bonnie’s experience on the school committee has afforded her relevant knowledge of the inner-workings of our schools’ processes and politics. She knows the importance of considering as many voices as possible when making key decisions but does not hesitate to assert her opinion on the issues. Bonnie’s reelection to the school committee will afford the continuity and seamlessness that a school committee needs to function at its highest level. Please join me in supporting Bonnie Brodner for reelection to the school committee.
